Eddie has over 40 years’ experience in the property sector working within the institutional and private property company sectors. He joined Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society in 1978 where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor before moving into a fund management role as Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for the commercial property investment portfolios of the company’s UK Life Fund and Staff Pension Fund.
In 2001 Eddie joined industrial property developer, Chancerygate where he helped establish its asset management function. In 2010 he became Group Managing Director of Chancerygate until he retired from full time employment in December 2017.
Since January 2018 Eddie undertakes a consultancy with leading surveying practice, Montagu Evans where he works primarily within the commercial agency and advisory team but also becomes involved in all areas of the partnership. He is also a Trustee with the Charles S French Charitable Trust and in 2020 became a ‘first charity Trustee’ of Chancerygate Foundation in its formation year.
Having graduated in 1985 Eddie became a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1997. He is also a member of Investment Property Forum and since 2013 a Liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors; one of the City of London’s Livery Companies.
